Hi, I’m Alana Corwin.

A founder, and student entrepreneur at Iowa State University.

When I was very young, I experienced childhood abuse, which led to lasting effects thoughout my childhood and young adult life. I didn’t have the resources or support I needed growing up, so I set out to create the kind of tools I wish I had.

I spend most of my time doing homework, working on Apricity, or my job as a business consultant for CyBIZ at Iowa State.

When I'm not working, I hang out with my tuxedo cat named Mateo. and try to figure out how to make my grandma’s blueberry pie.

Public Relations and Research Development

Hi, I'm Jamal Beavers Jr., a fourth-year psychology undergraduate minoring in communication studies and statistics!

I look forward to helping outreach those who are willing to join us in our mission to provide services to those enduring mental health struggles. In addition, I collaborate with professionals where I look to research in great detail the quality of our services and make improvements however needed for all of our deserving customers. 

Outside of Apricity, I work as a Students Services Coordinator and Communications Assistant within the LAS and SPARK programs respectively. I enjoy eating the comfort food of my mother's homemade mashed potatoes, and also have a strong passion in photography/videography, music production, graphic design, and sports such as volleyball and basketball!

Dayanna Bustos-Carpio

Hello! I’m Dayanna, a traditional and digital artist, passionate about art and creativity. I love to paint and to create digital designs to inspire people to engage in the creative world.

I’m currently pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology, something I discovered I was interested in not long ago. I believe mental health and art have a strong connection, and its practice can be very rewarding for people, especially when they need peaceful and self-care moments. Mixing both Psychology and Art have been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life!
